An Interesting Day

Boy, we had an interesting day!
Had to take Danielle all the way to Francis Tuttle today because the bus wasn't running so we decided to go to a movie. On Tuesday, movies are .50 at North Park Mall. So we went to see the Tale of Desperaux. It was really cute. When we went into the movie it was sunny outside. When we came out it was all dark and the tornado siren was going off. We were going to visit Marlene but changed our plans. So we waited awhile and then were going to try to make it to my Mom's house. On the drive there, Marlene called from the hospital to tell me I better get inside somewhere because there was a tornado right by us. So we went inside Ross to wait it out. We were in there about 30 minutes. That tornado cost us about 20 dollars because I ended up buying Ali some church shoes! Then we got really tired of waiting there, there were tornadoes all around so we decided to drive the few blocks to Mercy hospital where Marlene was and a t.v. we could watch. We went over there and right as we got there they were having a code black tornado warning. So they made all the sick patients get out of their beds and go into the hall. Marlene could barely stand up but she had to get up and drag all her i.v.'s and stuff out into the hall. She almost passed out! It was so sad, all those poor sick people moaning and groaning and hanging on to their chairs for dear life. I just can't believe they made them get out of bed and walk to the hall. I guess they didn't have a choice but it was crazy, you think they would have wheeled their beds out or something. Anyway, we ended up staying at the hospital for about an hour and a half then I decided it was time to get home. And we made it safe and sound but it was very slow going all the way home.

By the way did you know they still have Weenie Mobiles? We saw this one the other day when we were in town.

Yesterday was a pretty scary day. My mom was in the Target when the roof got sucked away. Pretty scary!
