I've been gone for so long I almost forgot my user name and password! Where have I been? In the addicting world of Facebook! And that amusing little game of Farmville! I wonder... how many bloggers have been lost to this world thus far? It's a terrifying thing to be sure!
Well, this summer has been good so far! We enjoyed house sitting for my sister and swimming in her pool everyday.
We enjoyed a great visit from my Texas sister and her family. My niece, Caity, stayed for a week so we got to spend some extra time with her. That was sooooo fun! These are some pictures that the girls took. They wanted to dress up and take pictures of themselves.
Really cute, huh? I don't think Danielle and Ali wanted their pictures taken as much as they wanted to take the pictures!
Our church had a great VBS. I did the crafts with my friend Cindy. We had a great, crazy, whirlwind time every night! It was FUN to be with the children. So many of those kids need the love of Jesus so much. They really just soak it up. It is so rewarding to minister to them.
I have also enjoyed spending some extra time with my Mom this summer. We enjoy taking the kids to go do something like swimming or to a movie.
We saw the movie "Up" and thought it was really cute! We are getting ready to go see Ice Age number three soon. Thursday is Brittani's Birthday so we are going to go to the movie.
On a SAD note, my nephew, Adam, is leaving for California on August 7th. He is going to Berkley to become a lawyer. I am so proud of him but very sad to see him go. I think he may love California so much that he will never come back.
I have read about 2o books so far this summer. I am a book worm at heart!
And now, slowly but surely I am trying to turn my thought back to homeschooling and what I need to do to prepare for the Fall.
