We are really enjoying Molly. What's that you say? That's all I talk about lately? Well, could you just bear with me for one more post? (is it bare or bear?) Please...
Thanks! You're the greatest.
There are good and bad things about Molly. Our last experience with having a dog was mostly traumatic and disappointing for many reasons. So I asked God to send us a dog who was perfect for us and has none of the same problems as our last dog. And I asked Him to send the dog in His perfect timing. I was prepared to wait. A long time. You know how God is about making us wait. Anyway, I was very surprised when Molly came. And I was very surprised at what a GREAT dog she is. God is so good!
Good Things about Molly:
1. She is potty trained! Completely! She whines at the door when she needs to go out.
2. She stays in her dog crate at night and doesn't even cry all night.
3. She is so gentle with the kids. She is so gentle she is almost graceful. You can even take a bone out of her mouth without getting bit. Not even a growl!!!
4. She is so soft and silky and pretty.
5. She loves to cuddle.
6. She understands furniture and she knows how to use it. If you leave a pillow on the couch you will find her laying with her head on the pillow. Wait, should that go on the bad list? No, it's way too cute. Don't you think?
7. She loves everybody. Everybody is her friend. The kids love her.
8. She gets the kids outside and exercising a lot more than they did before.
9. She doesn't pee when she gets excited.
Bad Things about Molly:
1.) The cats hate her and have confined themselves to a tiny space in the laundry room. Poor sad kitties... :(
2. She chews up everything. Including phones, shoes, coffee tables, toilet paper, feminine products (gross, I know, that's why it's the bad list), the paddle to my little wooden canoe (that was very sad), dolls, Barbies, stuffed animals, pony holders, her leash, need I go on. The list of what she doesn't chew would probably be shorter! I am hoping this is only a puppy thing and that she will grow out of it. We are working on the problem. Any suggestions??? And before you say, chew toys, we have bought those and she chews them too.
3. Taking her out to potty in the pouring down rain, thunder, and lightening. Yikes! I hate that. And guess who has to do it? Well, I can't let my kids go out in the lightening. I am sure when it gets to be freezing and burning hot, that those will go on the list as well.
4. Ticks. Need I say more? And I don't think the Front-line is working all that well.
