Church Today

I just want to mention something my pastor said in church today. He said most Christians in America think that the church is for them. I admit, I've been guilty of that. He said that last year 3.14 million people died without hearing the name of Jesus. Wow! That is so incredibly heartbreaking. Why am I so privileged to know the name of Jesus? To know that my name is in the lamb's book of life and that I will spend eternity with Jesus? It seems so unfair that I have that and millions upon millions don't, they go to hell. I can hardly bare the thought of that. So the purpose of the church is to win the lost! I'm saved because somebody prayed for me and somebody was brave enough to tell me about Jesus. Pastor said if the church was just for praising Jesus, well, we could do that in heaven, we wouldn't need to be here. The church is for winning the lost. We have to be bold, form relationships, pray for and tell people about Jesus! Lord, please please help us to be bold!
