About Brittani:
Brittani is becoming such an amazing little girl. Last night I finally realized that one of her most interesting characteristics is that she is VERY observant. It took me a while to give it a word. But she notices everything. From the things around her to the way people feel. She finds everything. Everywhere we go she finds money and treasures on the ground. She is so very sensitive. She notices if people are sad or upset. When she was very little she noticed the attraction between girls and boys. She came up to me one day and said, "Mommy, boys really like girls don't they?" None of my other kids have done that. And she is also very sensitive and perceptive about how people feel about her. She really knows when someone likes her, she knows when someone doesn't like her, and she knows when someone is upset with her and it bothers her a great deal. She worries about people and how they are feeling. Sometimes I think she takes too much responsibility upon herself to try to make everyone feel just right.
God must have a great plan for her life to really minister to people.
She also loves music. She could sing her life away! And does. She is always putting on shows for family. She loves to dress up and use her little microphone to perform. She has a pretty voice, so I think she will be a singer.
She is really good at math. She is very active and always moving and doing something. She loves to heely like her sisters. She is very helpful. Usually the first one to offer to help. She is very creative and loves to cook. She loves to make up her own recipes! She has made some good ones too! She makes delicious fried rice and she made a really good soup one time. She loves to help in the kitchen. Although none of my kids really like peeling potatoes as much as I wish they did!
She is in JBQ at church. They learn a bunch of Biblical facts and then go to contests. She didn't want to be in the puppet group that all three of her other sisters are in. Not sure why really. She begs me to go somewhere every day. She loves God and almost always wants to pray for somebody during our prayer time. She is really a sweetie.
A side note about Ali - she has been into making movies lately. She loves to get anyone she can find involved. She has made some funny little movies and commercials. She is a pretty good director!
About Alyssa:
Alyssa is just so sweet. She is definitely my baby. She loves to cuddle and give hugs. I can never get enough either! When Alyssa was little she was so quiet. I mean she could talk but just didn't. It's like she was always observing her sisters. Then I noticed when you take her off by herself she becomes a little chatter box, almost not stopping for breath! She still does that but now she talks a lot with the family as well.
She is so imaginative. She can play with almost anything and have a good time. She often takes alot of Danny's screwdrivers and just sits quietly playing with them. She is imagining they are a family. Everything she plays revolves around a Mommy, a Daddy, a sister or two, and a baby. She really loves babies as all her sisters do too. She is so sweet with little ones.
She can finally heely! This is a huge accomplishment to her. Because she can be like her big sisters.
She is in the puppet group at church. She has lots of friends that she loves to have over (to destroy her room, I might add). She loves to color! She could color for hours. Just give her a box of crayons and a coloring book and she is good. She likes to draw too. And she gives me pictures all the time. I love them so much. I have a hat box full of them. They are straight from her heart.
She is so sweet and lovable. Really she is so sweet and lovable almost everybody loves her. And here's a funny story. One day we went to the dentist for a check-up and teeth cleaning. I was sitting in the waiting room with my Mom and Danielle comes out and says, "Mom, you better go back there that lady is being really mean to Alyssa." About that time the dental assistant lady walks out and says to the receptionist, "Boy, that 's a hard one. She is a brat. She is giving me such a hard time." I looked at my Mom and my mouth feel open! My sweet little girl? No way! So I went back there and stayed with her but the lady was talking pretty harshly to her and had her in tears. I guess Alyssa just wasn't prepared for what was going to happen and was not wanting to cooperate. They were putting sealer on and it has a horrible taste. Anyway I had to give that to God and forgive that lady as quickly as I could. But I don't let her work on Alyssa's teeth anymore!!!!
Oh, I just thought of another funny characteristic. She is SLOW! And I don't mean dumb. She is really smart. What I mean is she does everything in slow motion. This can really drive us crazy. For example, we can all be finished eating and she is still not half way done. If you tell her to set the table, it could take her 30 minutes. She is getting better about this but we used to feel like pulling our hair out sometimes. Like waiting for her to get out of the car. We will stand outside freezing while she literally moves in slow motion.
She loves God and loves to pray for people during our prayer time. She will spend the most time of all her sisters praying for people.
